When I first thought about “The idea which saved the planet”, I thought about the recycling system, but when I started thinking about it more, the importance of feminism came to my mind, and how it would make the world a better place if we had more of it. Feminism is a topic that in my opinion doesn’t get talked about enough. It should be talked about in schools, but it isn’t. I want to talk about it because I myself am a woman and it is really important to me. Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes, in politics this means that feminism is the belief in full social, economic, and political equality for woman. Feminism is about supporting and empowering people, which is something we still need in 2021. Let’s talk about the gender pay gap this is the average difference between the remuneration for men and women who are working, which basically means that women don’t get high positions at their jobs, and if they do get paid less than men because of their gender, I find that very counterintuitive because why would your gender represent your work? If your work is good, why would your gender even matter? This is something that I desperately want to change, because if they can barely pay their bills, how can they afford other necessary things like food?
